Five Five-Minute Meditative "Quickies" to Relax, Center and Energize You

You can significantly release stress, recharge your energy, and improve your focus with these five simple meditative exercises.

You choose which one to try, and make sure you practice them all!
They all have three critical requirements:
1.  Close your eyes and put your body in a comfortable, open, aligned, supported position
2.  Allow your breath to deepen and become regular and automatic throughout the exercise
3.  Shut down any potential distractions – get away from ringing phones, doorbells, and anyone else – do not disturb!
Now you’re ready to begin:

Exercise #1

Count five, full, deep, easy breaths to yourself.
Imagine your breath is an endless wave of flowing energy, and the more you breathe deeply and freely, the more nurtured, cleared and balanced you become.
For these next several breaths, as you breathe in, say the phrase "Let Be" to yourself; and as you breathe out, say the phrase "Let Go" to yourself.
Enjoy your sensations, and when you’re ready, gradually return to full, waking consciousness and open your eyes.

Exercise #2

Count ten, full, deep, easy breaths to yourself.
Imagine your breath extends everywhere throughout your body, everywhere throughout your mind, enveloping, supporting, vitalizing every part of you.
Feel your breath forming its own shimmering cocoon that flows all around and through you, as if you imagined yourself floating in a radiant bubble.
Imagine yourself rising in this bubble, higher and higher, lighter and freer, and as you float, your whole life falls far, far beneath you.
Picture yourself drawn, as if in the wink of an eye, to a beautiful, peaceful place – a place of great healing and power.
Enjoy all that you see, hear, touch, taste and smell here – imagine yourself soaking up all the wonderful energy that flows through this place, and it becomes part of you, envelopes you like your endlessly flowing breath
When you feel complete in this experience, knowing these connections stay, imagine your flowing breath carries you, so lightly and freely as you float in this cocoon, back and back, knowing these connections stay, and you remember, until once more you easily, gradually return to full, waking consciousness, and open your eyes.

Exercise #3

Become aware of the even, light rhythm of your endless breath; and for these next several breaths, each and every time you inhale say to yourself this word, "Receive" and each and every time you exhale, say to yourself this word, "Release".
Imagine your breath is an infinite sea of light energy and you are effortlessly sustained and endlessly supported in this flowing sea.
Now for these next several breaths, as you inhale say the word "Receive" and then pick something you want to receive, adding that word after the word you’ve just said, "Receive" (for example, you could say, "Receive Love").
As you exhale for these next several breaths, say the word "Release" and then pick something you want to release, adding that word after the word you’ve just said, "Release" (for example, you could say, "Release Fear").
Continue this exercise until you have said five things you want to receive and five things you want to release in this way.
Observe your sensations as you continue to imagine floating in this sea of infinite energy, and when you’re ready, return to full, waking consiousness and open your eyes.

Exercise #4

Count to yourself four deep, easy, full breaths.
Imagine your breath as an infinite presence that flows everywhere within its own divine force throughout your being, embracing and sustaining you.
Imagine every part of your being takes on and becomes this infinite, endlessly flowing presence that is without beginning, without end.
Understanding that the Hebrew, Latin and Greek root of the word "breath" means "spirit", for these next several breaths, each and every time you inhale say to yourself this word, Infinite"; and each and every time you exhale say to yourself this word, "Spirit".
Consider your sense of becoming Infinite Spirit, observing your sensations.
Enjoy the endlessly unfolding experience until you come to feel a sense of completion for now.
As this occurs, say "Thank You" to yourself, and easily, gradually return to full, waking consciousness and open your eyes.

Exercise $5

Count to yourself three, full, deep, easy breaths.
Imagine that each and every breath transmits infinite light everywhere throughout your body, everywhere throughout your mind.
Imagine all parts of your body, all parts of your mind as endlessly flowing, beautifully shifting energetic waves perfectly synchronized with the flowing, infinite rhythm of your endless breath.
For these next several breaths, each and every time you inhale, say to yourself this word, "Light" and each and every time you exhale, say to yourself this word "Love".
Experience how these infinitely flowing rhythms receive light and release love everywhere throughout your being, your relationships, your environment, your hopes, your dreams, your responses, your past, your present, your future, and beyond.
Imagine how easily you can unconditionally listen to and accept all parts of you and your experience as light and love, light and love, endlessly.
Enjoy your sensations, knowing these connections stay, and you remember, and when you’re ready to return, quite easily and naturally imagine your infinite breath carries you back and back to gradually return to full, waking consciousness – and when you’re ready, open your eyes.
In numerology five is considered to be the vibrational frequency of transformation.  May these simple, powerful healing and development exercises transform your life and move to everywhere youw ant, and deserve, to Be.
