Rochester, NY, April 3, 2012 – Centering for Wellness, a Brighton-based not-for-profit whose mission is to offer concrete tools to enhance quality of life and promote wellness transformation for individuals, health care providers and organizations, is presenting a unique pilot program to promote self-care and shared networking for the public, holistic practitioners, health care providers and employee wellness program coordinators.

“Networking for Wellness: The Pilot Program of a Four Part Wellness Series” will be held on Monday evening, April 23 from 7-8:30 pm in the Williams Gallery at the First Unitarian Church, 220 Winton Road South, Rochester, NY 14610. Marjorie Baker Price, RN, psychiatric and community health nurse clinician and certified hypnotherapist, who is the founder and CEO of Centering for Wellness, will talk on “How to Meditate in Minutes for Wellness Transformation”, followed by sharing and networking.

Suggested donation of $5 charitable contribution supports the organization’s wellness program initiatives which target at-risk populations, including victims of abuse and post-traumatic stress, as well as chronic and life-threatening disease.

“Studies from a variety of sources including the National Institute of Health/Complementary and Alternative Medicine continue to identify more than 50% of the public seeks holistic or alternative wellness practices, not only for prevention, but to support more effective treatment of disease and improve quality of life”, says Marjorie.

”We hope to offer an informal but informative opportunity for people to freely share with all health care providers and employee wellness program coordinators; and equally importantly, for holistic and health care providers and wellness advocates to talk with each other. Centering for Wellness now additionally offers a unique series of employee programs to work with companies to better support and extend wellness initiatives in the face of current organizational challenges, for both improved performance and satisfaction. We must together create larger, shared win-win solutions in these critical times, which I feel are best offered through grassroots initiatives that offer personal contact, to raise everyone’s awareness and break down ‘role’ barriers. These days we must be our own – and each other’s – best advocates.”

Hope to see you there!  Please pass this along to whoever you think would be interested and benefit from this unique grassroots wellness networking and programming initiative!

Namaste, Marjorie
